Maria Gene and Crispin, Jr. worked their important day jobs, Prosecutor and Police Officer respectively, but their church ministry was something that was close to their heart. They gathered neighborhood children and took them to church, weekly Bible studies at their home, museum trips, YMCA, games and restaurant treats. This is a trip to the National Museum.

Memorial Biography

Life Story of Crispin Sarmiento, Jr. Born: October 13, 1958 Returned to God’s hands: March 22, 2021 Crispin was born to Flocerfida and Crispin Sarmiento, Sr., in Tondo, Manila, and was lovingly called “Junior” by the family. Being the only boy and the youngest child, Crispin was doted upon by his parents and his older sisters, Rowena and Dori. He went to Bonifacio Elementary School and Lakandula High School in Tondo. He always wanted to be in law enforcement. After graduation with a B.S. Criminology from the Philippine College of Criminology, he pursued his dream where he gave so much of his life. He earned numerous commendations and awards during his years of service. He was a devoted son, husband, friend, and brother. He was a source of joy and comfort for his Mother and Father when they were alive. He married late in life being the primary caregiver of his Mother until her death in 2013. He and his wife, Maria Gene, met in the courts where he had a case while she was the inquest prosecutor. His Mother and sisters thank God all the time that he found love. They were devoted to each other and lived a simple, righteous life. They regularly attended church at Cathedral of Praise on Taft Avenue in Manila. Before the pandemic, they led regular Bible studies in their home and took families and their children to church every Sunday as part of their church ministry. Crispin and Maria Gene treated these families to museum trips, YMCA swimming lessons, and restaurant meals after each event. Junior will be missed so much. He will always be remembered with deep love, admiration, and respect.
